Last weekend our boys here at Casa Miani Arvedi & Buschini were given some rare opportunities because of an event called "America in 3D" put on by the American Embassy here in the Philippines. On Friday evening, 3 of the high school boys were able to attend a private event on the U.S.S. Russell Navy Ship co-hosted by the U.S. Ambassador, Harry K. Thomas, and Ship Captain Joe Carrigan. The boys were excited to ride a boat for the first time and see such a large ship up close. They were also able to meet the Ambassador and Cebu City Mayor, Michael L. Rama who was in attendance.

Then, on Sunday, all the boys were invited to attend a baseball camps sponsored by USAID, the U.S. Embassy and assisted by Peace Corps Volunteers. Most of our boys had never played the game but learned quickly and even walked away with some awards and a victory in their only contest!
