After a month long vacation with their families the boys returned to their second home, here at Casa Miani Arvedi & Buschini. They were greeted with love and lots of great activities coordinated by the regular Casa Miani staff along with some new additions. We would like to acknowledge the hard work and service given to our children by Brother Mandee, Kuya Marc and our newest member Brother Roland.
Our Program included lots of time to learn new skills, develop athletic talent, work on dance moves, mentally prepare for the coming school year, and improve computer literacy. Here is a short video summary of the time we shared, prepared by our ever helpful seminarians. I hope you enjoy...
Our culminating event was highlighted by a hand mime presentation and several dancing and singing numbers by our boys.
There was also a special presentation by the drawing and painting skills group that was led by Kuya Marc.
Lastly, we bid farewell to 4 boys who will be leaving our community here at Casa Miani but will always remain in our hearts. We wish them the best of luck as some return to their families and others transfer to long term facilities.
We were also recently able to finish the construction of our new multipurpose building thanks to generous donations from around the world. This new facility is already the location for our computer literacy program and Alternative Learning System (ALS) classes for some of boys here at Casa Miani and many children from the community. It is our goal to soon open the library room where Kuya Marc has been working diligently with young aspiring artists to decorate the walls. The dream is for this facility to be utilized as a place for Minglanilla residents and Casa Miani children to develop skills that will aid in their ability to provide for themselves and their families.
