Busy, Busy, Busy

Hello faithful followers of the Casa Miani Arvedi & Buschini Blog!  Our dearest apologies for the gap between our last post and today.  With the end of the school year comes many changes here at the orphanage and many activities in the absence of the children.

First and foremost we would like to announce the graduation of our 4th year high school students!  Congratulations to Junrey, Reneboy and Arwin!

We also had six graduates from Elementary!  Congratulations to Jonryl, Dominic, Rakenjohn, Gabriel, Armito, and Romel!!

It was great to see the families come and show their support of the boys as they pass by these grand milestones of their young lives.


Not long after our graduates had set off on their summer vacation the Casa Miani family took a trip back to school themselves.  Social workers, Fathers, Brothers, Volunteers, and Lay people all gathered together in Tagaytay for the 3 day "Free to Serve, Free to Grow" Seminar.  Topics from Abnormal Psychology and Discipline Methods to Therapeutic Education and St. Jerome's Disciples were covered in great detail.  In the end, everyone came together to compose a best practices and recommendations document which will be distributed throughout the country.


Last but certainly not least, we recently had our St. Jerome Celebration which was, again, a great success.  We had more than 300 visitors to join us for lunch, games, activities and the headline concert and drama presentation in the evening.  Pictures to follow!
