Philip Maxim is the eldest among the four (4) siblings. He is an orphaned of his mother who just died due to complication of giving birth last July 24, 2009. The father abandoned them and the whereabouts is still unknown. Grandparents takes care of the siblings. Financial reason and old age of the grandparents to educate and support their daily needs qualifies the 3 siblings to be the recipient of Casa Miani "Arvedi & Buschini" Home for boys in Minglanilla, Cebu.

August 3, 2009, Philip started to having complaints about having muscle pains at the back of his body. He did not join class that day, then during dinner time houseparents found Philip on the floor unconscious with vomit and bowel movement. He also was having convulsion and lacked jaw. He was rushed immediately to the nearest medical facility, unfortunately they were not equipped with the proper facility so they were referred to South General Hopspital, immediately Philip was brought to ICU where test were run to figure out the situation, it was found that Philip acqiured a GUILLAIN BARRE SYNDROME.

"Guillain barre Syndrome is a disorder in which the body's immune system attacks part of the peripheral nervous system. The first symptoms of this disorder include varying degrees of the weakness or tingling sensations in the legs. In many instances, the weakness and abnormal sensations spread to the arms and upper body. These symptoms can increase in intensity until the muscles cannot be used at all and the patient is almost totally paralyzed."

August 28, 2009 Philip Maxim Cuadero was transferred to Vicente Sotto Memorial Hospital Pedia Ward ICU. His medication and ventilator is still going on.

Casa Miani who is presently helping out the treatment of Philip would not be able to fully shoulder all the expenses needed for the treatment. Further external assistance is sought to gain additional aid.

Right now we find it very difficult to support the treatment of Philip due to lack of resources. We would greatly appreciate whatever help that you would be able to share with Philip and his family at his time of crisis.

Your generous support and prayers is greatly appreciated.
Thank you and God bless!
