INTRODUCTION:

CASA MIANI "Arvedi and Buschini" is a home for poor children without serious physical or psychological handicaps, who, because of pitiful circumstances are deprived of physical, psychological and educational cares and so hindered from a complete and harmonious development.

The christian support of the sponsor, benefactors and committed volunteers is enabling the Somascan Fathers to take care of a group of children and youngsters from elementary to adult hood, according to their talents and capacities.

Benefactors an volunteers are organized in an association "Friends of Casa Miani", open to all who are willing to share their lives and resources in the spirit of St. JEROME EMILIANI, the father of the Orphans and Universal Patron of the Needy Youth.




HISTORY
  • April 2007 beginning of the activities
  • Registered ( # F.O. VII - 302) and Licensed by the DSWD (SB 2003-014)
  • Population: Maximum of 35-40 boys can be accommodated



VISION

To foster an integral formation of the person, on the example of St. Jerome, through an environment characterized by a family atmosphere, by a reciprocal Christian respect and by a particular attention to the needs and qualities of each child.




MISSION

To promote the physical health needy children, developing their moral, human, christian growth in order to prepare them to face life in peace with themselves and with the social world.

GOAL

To provide minors with serene environment enriched with means and people able to lead them towards an integral formation of their personality, a positive reintegration in their families and/or in society.

CLIENTELE


Casa Miani is mainly oriented to provide assistance to male minors and teen-agers who are orphans, abandoned, drop-out of school, physical and emotional neglected, and in high risk situations.

COVERAGE AREA

The activity of Casa Miani is primarily meant to respond to the needy youth of region VII or the Central Visayas Region.

The educative activity is carried on by Somascan Religious and Lay people, Imbued by the spirit of St. Jerome Emiliani, they share the same concern and work together in order to create an environment highly sensitive and responsive to the needs of the minors cared for.

  6. hi maclyn! it's nice to know you. i'm from Cebu City. i am desperately looking for a place for my kids to stay. Preferably for their entire elementary school life. It is my belief that they would learn a lot from it at the same time grow spiritually.

    then one day i stumbled into your blog!!! that is why i was asked for the Casa Miani's contact number. This is because i think that Casa Miani might be the right place.
