Casa Miani Peace Corp Volunteer Kuya Tyler and Casa Miani Social Worker Maclyn Diamos conducted a Leadership Training to the group of High School Boys. The activity are meant to engage the kids of Casa Miani and provide an opportunity for them to have fun as they learn about themselves and look to better themselves.
The activity were conducted every Saturday for an hour and half. Facilitators used the Casa Miani Life Skills Manual compiled by our Peace Corp Volunteer TYler Pickle.
The Casa Miani Manual is split up into 5 topics Self Awareness, Communication, Decision Making, Future Focos and Leadership.

Self Awareness
Helps children to get to know themselves, recognize their strenghts and weaknesses and also to become comfortable with their peers.
Communication
The goal is to develop positive communication skills and habits. Communication skills are very important in most aspects of life.
Making Decision
This topic serves as a means to discuss the decision making process especially what factors are important to take into consideration.
Future Focus
Is meant to encourage looking beyond the current stage of life and exploring what participants want for themselves 2, 5, and 10 years from now.
