Summer Program

Hello valued followers of the Casa Miani Arvedi & Buschini Blog!!

We are excited to announce the completion of another successful summer program!

Over the last 4 weeks we have been in overdrive trying to keep the children at our center and those in the surrounding community busy with fun, safe, challenging and educational activities to pass the long, hot days of summer.  We recruited 4 helpers from Tagaytay to come down and join the summer staff and boy was it necessary!  Each year our summer program has grown in activities, quality of education and number of participants.  This year was no exception...

Children from our center and from the community were split up by grade level into small tutorial groups.

Our growing partnership with TESDA has resulted in racks of newly sewn clothes at a professional level.  Community participants will take a test this week to become certified in sewing.

Music had an expanded role in this year's summer program as children from the community joined our boys in guitar lessons and flute lessons were added.

The broom and necklace making arts and crafts projects will be used both for internal purposes and to generate revenue for our future programs.

Hand mime was such a hit last year that Father decided it was a necessity and even committed to making it a long term project by creating our own black light fixtures.

Sports have always been a staple in our summer program but the fine arts continue to evolve, now under Father Mike's leadership .

Activities Included:   Basketball, Volleyball, Guitar, Flute/ Recorder, Keyboard, Painting, Computer, Necklace making, Broom making, Hand Mime, and Art Therapy

Thanks to all of our supporters for making this all possible.  Everyone involved had a wonderful time.
