Children's Rights and Korean Visitors

Over the last several weeks, since the new year, Casa Miani staff members have been busy with planning for the annual St. Jerome festival which will be held this Sunday February 13th. Despite the hustle to ensure all last minute responsibilities are accounted for, we thought we would take this opportunity to update you all on our activities to this point in 2011.

In terms of Education, Social Worker Maclyn and Peace Corps Volunteer Tyler have been teaching the boys about their rights as children in the Philippines.

A highlight has been the Art Therapy activity run by Maclyn which involves drawing, coloring and painting to create a jungle scene complete with the King Lion.

Of course, we always find time to play games...

We even had some visitors from Korea!

Everyone shared in the games and fun.

And when it was time for them to go and we said our goodbyes some of the kids from the community helped us bid them farewell.
